Learn tips, tricks, and drills to improve your dancing at fast tempos. We'll share techniques for speedy feeties that don't exhaust all your energy. Along the way, you'll learn new charleston steps, jig walks, and other moves that are ideal for fast dancing.THURSDAY SCHEDULE
Beginner Lesson | 7:00 - 7:45 PM
Social Dance & Practice (all levels) | 7:45 - 8:15 PM
Level 2 Lesson | 8:15 - 9:15 PM
VENUE: Masonic Lodge. This is down the street from the Iowa City Public Library. There is free parking in the Chauncey parking ramp after 6 p.m.
COST: $10 per evening or $5 for students.
As a level two course, we require that dancers are comfortable with the basic charleston step and consecutive swing outs to take this series.
This lesson series start on April 3 and end on April 24. We recommend attending the entire 4-lesson series because concepts and moves will build on each other throughout each lesson. However, drop-ins are welcome anytime, with the understanding that they may not get the most out of the lesson, having missed prior lessons in the series.
