The origin of the Sweet Sixteen. Many decades ago, a girl's Sweet 16 was the period when the young woman was allowed to wear makeup and a beautiful dress and make her own decisions. She gets to choose her party theme, appearance, and best friends to celebrate her. The gathering welcomes her to the next chapter in life: adulthood.
Many things have changed since then. However, I think we all can agree that this is still a day where every girl, if given the opportunity, should get to celebrate with a blowout bash to celebrate this coming of age!
