Khareef Salalah highlights in a weekend

Imagine yourself trekking in the highlands of Europe with the misty foggy greenery. A wonderous mix of flora and fauna. A Haven for nature photographers! We have created a fully inclusive program in two and a half days covering main attractions of Salalah.
We cover both the western and Eastern regions of Salalah in two days in addition to scenes of local traditional life and authentic cuisine.
Khareef Salalah lasts from July to September every year. It happens when the temperature drops to 23 degrees C (73 degrees F), while the rest of Oman and the Gulf countries are boiling. This monsoon turns Salalah into a complete green area. This attracts visitors from all around the world. Nevertheless, there is more to this mind-blowing gem in terms of natural beauty. From the north, the city is surrounded by a mountain range that turns green with spectacular waterfalls during the Khareef season. From the south, it has a long beautiful coast that is embellished with white sands. We will see it all.


Day One: Friday, meeting at Dubai or Sharjah international airport at 12:00 for our direct flight to Salalah (both Air Arabia and FlyDubai fly direct to SLL) . Upon arrival , we will meet our local guide who will take us to Al Husn traditional market and explain the different Frankincense types and then we will visit Awdat Al Madi traditional Festival where you will enjoy some Local cultural snacks , dances and festivities. Overnight in a 4 star hotel.


Day Two: Saturday: The Eastern region of Salalah: Breakfast at the hotel then leave at 08:00
We will head to Darbat Waterfalls for a very unique view of these high cascades and lush Greenery.
Then we head to Athum Waterfalls which is the signature scene of Salalah Tourism for its beauty.
Drive on Jabal Samhan to a panoramic view point above the clouds. Large herds of camels and goats are expected on the way. It is possible to stop and spend some time with camels, take pictures. Continue driving on the mountain to admire the greenery. We will also head to Tawi Atair Sinkhole, one of the largest sinkholes in the world for some echo testing and fun photos.
Afterwards we will head to Wadi Hasheer famous for its giant Baobab trees and water spring. We will do a small hike to the Baobab trees for some photos and then head to Hasheer waterfalls and have a chance to swim in the waterfalls and natural fresh water.
Then we will have picnic Lunch in a high view point where you will enjoy some Omani authentic dishes and camel meat (included) with panoramic views surrounding you. We will also head to the anti gravity point and test this natural wonder for scientific minds to ponder on this phenomenon.
We will Also Visit Taqah Plateau with panoramic coastal views of the Arabian Sea. Then we will head back to our hotel after our 8 hours tour and time at leisure.


Day Three: On Sunday , we will visit the Western region of Salalah: Early morning Breakfast, check out and we leave the hotel around 08:00 a.m.

Then we will drive up the famous ZigZag road AKA Snake road; One of the most exciting roads in salalah of Qamar mountain for Shaat view point for panoramic views of the Arabian sea surrounded by lush greenery and stunning scenery from above the clouds. Then we will be heading to Ayn Roub which is 3 km in total and swim in a natural spring overlooking the Arabian Sea. This is an optional hike alternatively , you can choose to have a picnic and a stroll at the famous camel beach of Al Fazaeh and watch the camel herds lounging by the beach side.
We will visit the Frankincense trees of Wadi Al Mughsayl to learn more about the various uses of Frankinsence and stop for a stunning panoramic view of the Mughsail Sea. Then we will be heading to Al Mughsayl beach, the most famous beach in Dhofar for its white sand , blue water surrounded by mountains from both sides.
Then we will visit Al Marneef caves and the blow holes.
Afterwards, we will head back to a restaurant for lunch (included) and then visit Eftelqout view point and see the famous desert rose trees and then straight to the airport to catch our flight back to Dubai.
