We are going to ride on one of the most beautiful and scenic tracks one can find in the vicinity of Islamabad. The track is an offroad track along the Khanpur Lake and Haro river that passes near an old historic Bhuddhist Stupa of the 3rd Century. The Total track is 22Km that includes a loop through the beautiful hills. The idea is to enjoy the beautiful turquoise water of the Haro/Khanpur Lake & spend some quality time in the water. The route has one main climb along with the regular ups and downs that you find at every hilly area along the river.

About the Bhamala Stupa:
Bhamala Stupa is a ruined Buddhist stupa and National Heritage Site near Haripur, Pakistan. The Stupa is different from other stupas found in Gandhara civilization. The ruins date back to the 4th century CE. and are situated very close to the Khanpur Dam. The stupa is cross shaped and looks like an Aztec Pyramid. Bhamala stupa is an archaeological site and is also known as Bhamala Buddhist Complex.

• Be punctual for the rides
“Arriving late was a way of saying that your own time was more valuable than the time of the person who waited for you”
• Ensure that your bicycles are in good condition and that your tires have air before you come to the ride in the morning. Early morning repairs delay the start of the ride.
• Stay to the left side of the road when riding
• Ride in two parallel lines at most and maintain discipline for safety purposes
• Respect the countryside and leave it tidy
