About this Event

On March 6th, Roots Music Project is proud to showcase a vibrant lineup of emerging young artists redefining the local music scene. These talented musicians, all between 15 and 18 years old, represent a remarkable cross-section of musical creativity, each bringing a unique voice and perspective to their craft. From indie-folk and alternative sounds to experimental rap and roots music, these young artists share a profound commitment to storytelling through song.

Hailing from Boulder and Lafayette, Colorado, these performers represent a new generation of musicians who are playing music and using it as a powerful medium for personal expression. Through introspective lyrics, complex musical arrangements, or heartfelt performances, each artist demonstrates an extraordinary depth of musical understanding that belies their young age.

Amiya Vashi - https://linktr.ee/amiyavashi | insta: @amiyavashi

Hailing from Boulder Colorado, 17 year old Amiya Vashi is an indie-folk artist and songwriter. From a very young age, Amiya was a storyteller, but as a freshman in high school her love of storytelling quickly morphed into her all encompassing passion for songwriting. Transitioning from writing songs in her bedroom to sharing them with the world, Amiya has released numerous singles and an EP, the half you can’t hold. Her latest release, “Maggie,” explores her folk side, a sound she is continuing to explore in her planned 2025 album.

Neva Upton - https://www.nevaupton.com/ | insta: @neva7upton

Neva Upton, an 18-year-old musician from Boulder CO, draws inspiration from a wide variety of genres. Whether it’s alternative, rap, or a little ragtime piano, every type of music inspires her to keep discovering new ways to put a feeling into song. Though she started out on piano, guitar quickly became her primary instrument, and now production is on the forefront of her mind. With her most recent single, “Color Me Confused”, she immersed herself in a world of software instruments where it became possible to bring her song to life. For Neva, music is a way to capture a moment, a feeling, a memory, and she hopes to continue sharing her writing. Whether that’s playing it with friends, or for an audience, it doesn’t matter, music is best when experienced together.

Ella Seng - Ella Seng - Soundcloud | insta: @ella__seng

Ella Seng is a 17 year old Boulder-based musician. From a young age she has studied piano and voice, and her love for music transformed into songwriting. Artists like Lizzy McAlpline, Grace Enger and Gracie Abrams have inspired her writing style. Her songs revolve around piano melodies and the beauty of passing time. She has always loved to perform in front of live audiences and share her music with others. Ella is currently working on her first EP, which will be released in 2025.

TEMPO Artist - TBD

Chloe Ridgeview - Chloe Ridgeview - Spotify | insta: @chloeridgeviewmusic

Singer-songwriter Chloe Ridgeview fell in love with music at a young age and it has been a big part of her life ever since. She has been writing music since age ten and spent much of her childhood in choirs and voice lessons. She uses music to explore themes like growing up, taking risks, and grief. It has a hopeful and personal feel with warm guitar and vulnerable lyrics.

Melody Blauw - https://melodynicole.carrd.co/ | insta: @melodymakesmusicc

Melody is a 17 year old singer-songwriter based in Boulder, Colorado. Her sound is rooted in her complex lyric building, which has been inspired by musical theater and popular music alike. Melody finds the most inspiration in nature, the ocean, and social justice. She is excited for what’s to come and hopes her audience is able to find connection within her words.

Stryder Jones - Stryder Jones - Spotify | insta: @stryder_jones_

Stryder Jones is a singer, rapper, producer, multi media artist, performer, and filmmaker. He's been producing music since he was 10 and has been singing since before he can remember. He's self-produced over 8 albums and has two artist projects, "Stryder Jones" and "Amaru." The music released under “Amaru” is experimental, psychedelic, and gritty, while the music released under “Stryder Jones” is openly personal, authentic, and innocent. He was born in Boulder, Colorado and he is currently 17 years old.

The Harriman Sisters - https://www.penelopeharriman.com/ | insta: @theharrimansisters or @penelopeharrimanmusic

The Harriman Sisters, based out of Lafayette, Colorado, is a roots music band consisting of seventeen year old Penelope on mandolin and lead vocals and fifteen year old Amelia on fiddle and vocal harmony. Their dad, Jiffer, supports them on guitar, banjo, and vocals. They started playing music at four years old and began attending Planet Bluegrass’ Rockygrass Academy nearby in Lyons, Colorado at age seven. They play a combination of fresh originals and old standards inspired by countless family jam sessions.
