Join us for a piano recital and a bird photography exhibition as we celebrate the graduation of Jake Hillygus from DSA.

Twelve years of dedication towards music and birds, countless piano keys, and hours waiting for the perfect shot...

Jake Hillygus is displaying some of the best pics he has captured from his birding trips across 5 continents and he will be playing for us some of his favorite pieces including George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, Frédéric Chopin's "Aeolian Harp" Etude Op.25 No.1 and Billy Joel's New York State of Mind among others.

Featured, too, at the piano recital are guest performers Noa Sherwood from UNC Chapel Hill, as well as Jake Brennan and Kinley Myers from Riverside High School.

There will be a reception from 5:30 pm at the Semans Gallery of the Durham Arts Council where Jake Hillygus' bird photos will be showcased. The recital in the PSI Theater will begin at 7:00 pm and doors will open 30 minutes early for seating.
