Kevin Tan, a thirteen-year-old pianist, is currently one of the most successful pianists at the Purcell School for Young Musicians, which is known as Britain's oldest and most prestigious music school.

Kevin's musical talent and virtuosity made him pass the ARSM Diploma exam in Distinction after two years he started to play piano and earned him a place at the distinguished Purcell School in 2021, where he continues to showcase his skill, passion, and determination. Playing the piano for only five years, he has significantly expanded his repertoire and progressed rapidly. He has proudly represented the school in numerous concerts and has received exceptional feedback from audiences.

Kevin's extraordinary progress can be attributed to his exceptional piano teachers. Since 2021, he has been taught by Professor Florian Mitrea, professor of Piano and Chamber Music at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Additionally, he has continuously received invaluable instruction from Professor Christopher Hinterhuber, Head of the Piano Department at University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria.

Kevin's talents have been recognized in various international competitions. He has won first prizes at the Elite Musician International Competition, North London Music Festival Piano Recital Competition, Universal Star Music Competition, AADGT International Young Musicians, and London Young Musician Competitions. Kevin has generously donated all cash rewards he received from competitions to charity and intends to continue doing so.

In addition to piano, Kevin also enjoys playing the drums. He started playing the drums at the age of seven and passed the Rock School Drums Grade 8 exam with Distinction by the age of ten, making him the youngest drummer to achieve this grade. Outside of music, Kevin indulges in playing sports like golf and tennis, as well as seeking out thrilling roller coasters around the world.
