'You Are Here' is a sextet formed by saxophonist Kevin Figes to perform the music of the vital Bristolian improvising and composing pianist Keith Tippett (1947-2020) and his comrades, including Elton Dean, Harry Miller, Dudu Pukwana, the Dedication Orchestra and King Crimson.
An exceptional live band we are very pleased to have them back at the club. A lot has happened since they first played here with the band receiving rave reviews for their live performances and their excellent recording of the Elton Dean's Ninesense tune 'Seven for Lee' and Keith Tippett's 'Green and Orange Night Park' followed last year with the launch of a full album 'You Are Here' on the Jazz Now label.
Tonight will be a joyous celebration of the music and influence of Keith Tippett and an invigorating journey into the unique sounds of British Jazz in the 1970's
