Kersley Piron Band @ The Jazz Loft

This stellar band came about when Kersley, drummer Pablo Calzado and saxophonist Greg Lyons were discussing their shared passion for the Sega music that has spawned a unique identity for Mauritius on the global stage, and of course an incredible jazz fusion scene in Piron's native Mauritius.

The repertoire mixes Piron's originals and unique arrangements with gems from other jazz fusion artists around the world.

BIO

Born in Mauritius, Kersley Piron has been playing the bass guitar since early teens, and in his native land is recognised as an authentic and original voice of modern jazz fusion.

Deeply nfluenced by the African roots of jazz and the Mauritian island jazz scene, Piron’s music is melodic and energetic whilst remaining true to the classical style of Afro-Jazz.
