Join us for La Kermes de Nuestra Escuelita to celebrate the end of Latinx Heritage Month at LEAP.
In Latin America a Kermes is a community fair or bazaar that is typically held by school or church communities to raise money.
As you probably know, the LEAP preschool, known by our families as Nuestra Escuelita, is the only accessible, culturally affirming bilingual preschool in Durham. This year, we will hold our Kermes to celebrate as a community with food, games, music and dancing to raise money for our school.
This is a FREE event and will take place on Friday October 17th from 5-8pm and is free and open to the public. There will be food and drinks for sale, artisans and other handmade items, as well as dance class, games & activities . There will be also resources for the community.
