Join us as we celebrate the reinstallation of the historic Kent Fountain in Lancaster!
Originally gifted to the Town in 1892 by Henry, Edward, and Charles Kent in honor of their parents, Richard Peabody Kent and Emily Mann Kent, the granite fountain has been a landmark of Main Street for over a century. From its dedication featuring the “Winged Victory” statue to its role as a public water supply for man and beast, the fountain has a long and fascinating history.
We’ll share a few words about the fountain’s history and significance before cutting the ribbon to officially welcome it back to our community.
