Ken Vandermark (born September 22, 1964) is an American composer, saxophonist, and clarinetist.
A fixture on the Chicago-area music scene since the 1990s, Vandermark has earned wide critical praise for his playing and his multilayered compositions, which typically balance intricate orchestration with passionate improvisation. He has led or been a member of many groups, has collaborated with many other musicians, and was awarded a 1999 MacArthur Fellowship.[1] He plays tenor saxophone, clarinet, bass clarinet, and baritone saxophone.
The Ex is an underground band from the Netherlands, started in 1979 at the height of the original punk explosion as a Dutch punk band. The Ex originated from the squatting movement in Amsterdam and Wormer,[3] and was inspired by bands like The Fall and The Mekons.[2]
Lukas Simonis is a Dutch guitarist, mainly active in experimental music and sound art.[1] Besides his career as a musician he's also involved with the Rotterdam-based avant garde venue WORM.[2] and runs the music lab of the venue.
Simonis published a book in 1979 entitled Slime in the early '80s. At the same time Simonis started his musical career in Dutch punk and experimental bands such as Demogorgon, Dull Schicksal, Morzelpronk, Trespassers W and later Aa Kismet, Vril (both with Bob Drake), Static Tics, Coolhaven and became involved with the venues The Jazz Bunker and Dodorama. Dodorama would later become the venue WORM.
Suikeroom consists of the duo Francesco Zedde and Lukas Simonis. They were caught playing weird sounds in the Worm Studio in 2019, initially without any bad intentions, but drifting off to good intentions with the kind of attention span they could provide was too much to ask. So what happened was a recording that attended to a submerged attention with an unattended form of ascension, did even look like an instigation for prevention. But what kind of prevention? There’s all kinds of pretensions, as soon as they have your attention. Now don’t get me wrong on this, but are we talking about music here? If so, could I please be more specific. Do I intend to be funny? Well, my intentions on this matter are that I try to attend in words what the music apprehends in sounds. Call it an amendment for attention, the kind of attention that has your attention.

About the two ‘musicians’; Zedde comes from Italy, is a drummer and electronic wizard, organizes lots of concerts that do improv and is a decent chap. Simonis comes from Rotterdam and drinks beer, preferably in cans. If you want to know more, try google.
