Join McLennan Community College for the 2026 Ken Starr Lecture Series, featuring presidential historian, author, and speaker Dr. Lindsay M. Chervinsky, Executive Director of the George Washington Presidential Library at Mount Vernon.
As part of a commemorative lecture celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America, Dr. Chervinsky will share historical insights on the American presidency, the nation's founding, and the enduring principles that continue to shape our democracy. She is the award-winning author of Making the Presidency: John Adams and the Precedents that Forged the Republic and The Cabinet: George Washington and the Creation of an American Institution, and is widely recognized for bringing American history to audiences through television, radio, print, and public speaking.
The evening will be moderated by Talmage Boston, an acclaimed historian, author, attorney, and nationally recognized interviewer whose conversations with leading historians have earned widespread praise. His thoughtful approach to exploring history and leadership will create an engaging and dynamic conversation with Dr. Chervinsky.
Presented by the McLennan Community College First-Generation Scholars, Honors College, and Presidential Scholars, this free public lecture offers a unique opportunity to hear from one of the nation's foremost presidential historians during America's semiquincentennial celebration.
