About this Event
Jonesey Johnson, program manager for the Master of Public Health program at WashU, will guide visitors on a mindful and playful journey through illustrated books specially selected to spark imagination and curiosity. The experience continues in the Museum galleries with guided looking, conversation, and hands-on art-making, inspired by works on view and facilitated by Kemper Art Museum educators. Visitors are welcome to attend all or part of the program.
Kemper Refresh is an ongoing program focused on wellness, creativity, and community connection offered in collaboration with health and wellness professionals from the WashU and greater St. Louis communities.
About the Facilitator
Jonesey Johnson (she/they) is a Midwestern poet and former Storytime Lady who fell in love with the artwork and narrative power of storybooks many years ago. They work in Hillman Hall for the School of Public Health and take the short stroll to the Kemper Art Museum for a wander at least once a month. Jonesey is a member of the Mindfulness Science and Practice cluster where she has learned much from the cluster members and benefited from regular practice and community. They are excited to share the wonder of illustrated storytelling with participants!
