We are pleased to announce that finally we have our car park!
To celebrate, we are “combining” (Combo Day) with
Neighbourhood Support
NZ Police and
Palmerston North Community Patrol
to invite all local residents to come and have a look at the car park and the hall, and have a chat about anything you’d like to chat about – roads, street racing, home and community security – here’s your chance.
NZ POLICE MOBILE UNIT – come and have a chat with a cop or ask for crime prevention advice.
PN COMMUNITY PATROLl have the new theft-proof screws to put on your number plates for a small fee. This prevents theft of your number plates and having them used on stolen vehicles for illegal activities!! Have a talk with them – maybe you’d like to join up and help.

NEIGHBOURHOOD SUPPORT will be there offering free engraving of tools, bikes, scooters – anything you want to be able to identify. They will engrave your driver’s licence details onto an article so it is easily identifiable. If you’re a tradie, or know people who are, suggest they come and get their tools engraved. The Police have often found stolen tools and have been able to contact the owner because their details were engraved on them. And, again, you might like to join Neighbourhood Support – it’s free!
And committee members from Kelvin Grove Community Association, and some councillors, will be there to answer questions about the community centre, the forthcoming refurbishment and what is being planned for the future of our suburb.
March is “HERITAGE MONTH” – our event is a feature of this, as our hall was the Centennial Pavilion in The Square between 1970 and 1980, so we will have a display relating to its history.
