A félreismerhetetlenül egyedi hangzásáról ismert kiváló német szimfonikus együttes, a Müncheni Filharmonikusok különösen büszkék arra, hogy kulcsfontosságú szerepet játszottak Anton Bruckner és Gustav Mahler életművének megismertetésében. Az 1930–1940-es években az együttes élen járt a modern magyar zene németországi népszerűsítésében is, Bartók vagy Kodály műveit például az elsők között adták elő. A zenekarral olyan karmesterlegendák dolgoztak, mint Eugen Jochum, Rudolf Kempe, Sergiu Celibidache, James Levine vagy Zubin Mehta. Budapesti koncertjükön Kelemen Barnabás közreműködésével Bartók-, Mendelssohn- és Schumann-műveket hallhatunk.Az est vendégkarmestere a vilniusi születésű litván dirigens, Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla lesz, aki 2016-tól – Sir Simon Rattle, Sakari Oramo és Andris Nelsons nyomdokaiba lépve – zeneigazgatóként irányította a Birminghami Szimfonikus Zenekart. A mára világhírűvé vált karmester koncertezett többek között a Bázeli Szimfonikusokkal, a Francia Rádió Filharmonikus Zenekarával, a Philadelphia Zenekarral és a New York-i Filharmonikusokkal. Rangos koncerttermek visszajáró művésze, és olyan operarendezőkkel dolgozott, mint például Barry Kosky. 2018 óta a Deutsche Grammophon exkluzív művésze.

Known for its unmistakably individual sound, the Münchner Philharmoniker is particularly proud of the key role it has played in bringing the works of Anton Bruckner and Gustav Mahler to the public. In the 1930s and 1940s, the ensemble was at the forefront of promoting modern Hungarian music in Germany, as by being among the first to perform works by Bartók and Kodály. At their Budapest concert, where Barnabás Kelemen will be the featured artist, they will perform a selection of works by Bartók, Mendelssohn and Schumann.
Standing on the podium will be Lithuanian conductor Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla, who in 2016 followed Sir Simon Rattle, Sakari Oramo and Andris Nelsons in the position of music director of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. The world-famous conductor has appeared in concert as the guest of such ensembles as the Sinfonieorchester Basel, the French Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. A returning guest of the most prestigious concert halls, she has also worked with opera directors like Barry Kosky. Since 2018, she has been an exclusive artist of Deutsche Grammophon.
