Is your child interested in cartoons, comics, and telling stories through art? Join us for a special series of projects inspired by the bold, expressive artwork of Keith Haring as well as the artists & illustrators who inspired him such as Walt Disney, Dr. Seuss, and Charles Schulz. Participants will visit the exhibition, Keith Haring: Radiant Vision and then use what they have seen and learned to create stories through illustrations, cartoons, and mini-murals, drawing from life and from their own imagination. Participants will also meet and work on a special activity with local graphic designer, illustrator, and toy designer Karen Craig, whose clients include Nickelodeon, Scholastic, and The Museum of Modern Art! Maximum 12 participants. Fenimore Art Museum will follow all COVID-19 protocols during this workhsop, including social distancing, mask-wearing in indoor areas, and maintaining proper cleanliniess and sanitization. Each participant will be provided with their own set of art-making materials to use throughout the workshop. Daily pre-screenings including temperature checks will be required.
