A Chamorro historian from the Mariana Islands and a Professor of Asian American Studies at UC Los Angeles, Camacho studies and analyzes diaspora, settler colonialism, policing, gender and more among Pacific Islanders, Indigenous groups and other communities of color.
The program will dive into his book, "Reppin’: Pacific Islander Youth and Native Justice" where he explores the multiple perspectives of individual Pacific Islander youth and their social justice methodologies.
This collection of ten essays highlights the ways in which youth throughout Oceania have embraced digital technologies to communicate across national boundaries, mobilize sites of political resistance and remix popular media.

Keith L. Camacho is professor of Asian American studies at the University of California, Los Angeles.
