About this Event
Quentin will discuss your bees are going to be doing and things you can do yet before the snow flies to give them the best chance to be survivors. You will learn about what you need to consider before closing everything up. He will discuss the pros and cons of different winter preparations. Hive management - what have you done so far and develop a plan for Winter then into the Spring months. You will observe a working hive to help you understand if your hives are ready for winter. He will discuss honey and what to do if you have it and what to do if you don't. Understand Bee health and what to do & what you will see during the winter months. If you don't have bees this year but planning for next year it is a great opportunity to learn what you will need to prepare for. Experience a hands-on inspection and discussion of a winter bee hive. If you don't have a bee suit, one can be provided. Please let us know.
