About this Event
Welcome to our non-fiction book club! We meet in our cafe on the second Wednesday every month to talk about the latest and greatest in non-fiction, including titles in nature, history, art, politics, popular-science, biography, gender studies, travel, and the list goes on!
The next book club will take place on Wednesday 10th June.
Our June pick is Between Two Rivers by Moudhy Al-Rashid. In Between Two Rivers, historian Dr Moudhy Al-Rashid reveals what these ancient people chose to record about their lives, allowing us to brush hands with them millennia later. We find a lullaby to soothe a baby, instructions for exorcising a ghost, countless receipts for beer, and the adorable, messy writing of preschoolers.
Whether your already a connoisseur of non-fiction or looking to expand your reading horizons, we’d love to have you. Tickets are free but we recommend booking to secure your place.
