Ke Kilo Lani Talk Story: Hula

Join Kumu Hula Robert Cazimero, Nani Lim Yap and Maelia Loebenstein Carter as they discuss learnings from three different hula lineages. Robert Cazimero often credits and celebrates his hula teacher, Maiki Aiu Lake, a prolific kumu hula to whom many contemporary hula schools trace their origins. Nani Lim Yap and Maelia Loebenstein Carter hail from different lineages and will participate in a panel discussion with Cazimero to compare and contrast learnings and perhaps tell stories of their teachers, and teacher’s teachers!

Zach Lum, Executive Director of Kāhuli Leo Leʻa will moderate.
