KCYP Presents: A Classic KC Happy Hour at John's Big Deck!

Join SocialHeart on Thursday, May 9 for a Classic KC Happy Hour at John's Big Deck!

Two-step your way over to SocialHeart's latest networking happy hour, as we gather together to network with fellow young professionals, all in suppourt of our charity partner Owen/Cox Dance Group.

Plan to wear something that you can move in, as you'll be placed on a small team with a group of your fellow professionals, as well as a dancer, to see what sort of moves you can come up with! Teams will be given a 45-60 minute window to come up with, and then perform, a short piece of choreography!

Owen/Cox Dance Group is a contemporary dance company located in Kansas City, Missouri. The company is committed to creating new music and dance collaborations, presenting high-quality contemporary dance performances with live music, and engaging as wide an audience as possible through affordable live performances and education and outreach programs.
Since its debut performance in 2007 the company’s accomplishments include:

• Two world premieres commissioned by the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
• Collaborations with artists Peregrine Honig, Peggy Noland, Mark Southerland, and NEA Fellow Nate Fors
• Participation in annual events , Modern Night at the Folly, Dance in the Park, , and
• , an educational initiative bringing music and dance to fourth graders in the Kansas City area

John's Big Deck is a unique three-story bar located in the heart of downtown Kansas City. Each floor provides a special experience depending on what you enjoy! SocialHeart will be taking over the second floor "dance club"!
