Join Us for the KCN Newark Literacy Celebration!

Tickets are $25 per child, and one accompanying adult attends free with each child ticket. Adults only need a ticket if attending without a child. Space is limited and advance registration is recommended to guarantee your spot.

Join us in Newark for an inspiring and joyful literacy celebration featuring beloved author and illustrator Vanessa Brantley-Newton and Grammy-winning musician Lucky Diaz. Families will gather at The Newark Museum of Art for a lively morning filled with storytelling, music, creativity, and the magic of books.

Children and families will enjoy engaging moments that celebrate imagination, creativity, and the joy of reading together. Through stories, illustration, and music, this special event brings books to life and encourages young readers to explore the power of creativity and storytelling.

Following the program, books will be available for purchase and signing, giving families an opportunity to meet the creators and take home a special memory from the day.

Parking Information
Street parking is available near the museum, including James Street. Meters are about $1 per hour (Mon–Sat, 9 AM–6 PM) using meters or ParkMobile. Nearby garages on Atlantic St, Washington St, and Mulberry St are typically $10–$12. We recommend arriving a little early to allow time for parking and entry.
