KCC Senior Care Ministry Lunch & Chat Series

Don't take your breath for granted!

Although November is probably most readily associated with Thanksgiving, during the month of November Lung Cancer Awareness is also observed. This Saturday, Nov. 8th @ 1 p.m., the Senior Care Ministry of KCC's will welcome Ms. Mae Honesty, Respiratory Therapist who will present on the topic, "Improving Indoor Air Quality."

Our featured guest speaker notes that, during Lung Cancer Awareness Month, "its an important time to highlight how indoor air quality directly affects lung health and overall well-being. The education presented will cover 10 effective ways to improve the air we breathe indoors-such as increasing ventilation, reducing dust buildup and controlling humidity. Small steps like these can make a meaningful difference in protecting our lungs and supporting a healthier environment." Ms. Honesty currently serves as Lung Screening Navigator for the Cancer Institute at Bayhealth Hospital Kent Campus. Although this information is especially valuable for seniors and those who may have respiratory health challenges, all are welcome to attend. Free entry for all.

This month's Lunch & Chat will take place in the DSU Arts Center Gallery, Wm C. Jason Library at Delaware State University, 1200 N. DuPont Hwy, Dover.
