Before the orchestra, before the symphony, three voices were already in conversation — violin, cello, and harpsichord — discovering what music could be.
During this special FREE Mother’s Day concert, the KC Baroque Consortium explores the origins of the Baroque sonata through iconic works by Italian composers Giovanni Paolo Cima,Francesco Maria Veracini, and Tomaso Giovanni Albinoni.
KC Baroque Players will journey from Cima's bold early experiments to Veracini's expressive fire and Albinoni's elegant mastery. The performance and music aim to be intimate, inventive, and alive with discovery.
