Kayla VanKirk was born and raised in the middle-of-nowhere Ohio, spending far too much time staring out the window and imagining whole new worlds.Now, she lives in Columbus as a middle school educator and author. Her goal is to write the stories she wants to read, and she has never understood the concept of “writing to market”. As the world changes and she changes with it, she hopes that others can see themselves represented in her stories and that she can share these stories with the world.
