Our comprehensive Kayaking Course gives you the foundation skills to handle a kayak competently and safely.It includes instruction in:
- Self-rescues
- Assist others back on to their kayak
- Loads of different paddle techniques.
- Beach launching and landing
- Steering with your paddle and rudder
- Risk management
- Clothing and equipment
- Transporting kayaks
- Simple tow systems
At the end of the course, you will have a deep understanding of what it means to be a great kayaker and loads of ideas to practice on your next adventure.
Course times:
9 am – 4 pm (meet at Botany Canoe & Kayak store)
