Hosted by Save Our Soil Kaw Valley Foundation, this annual event brings together families, farmers, and friends to enjoy local food, music, educational workshops, and fun activities amid the beautiful landscape of the Kaw River Valley.
Held at the iconic Shirk's Barn and Farm, surrounded by harvest-ready fields, Field Day is a festive, hands-on reminder of the land’s value—and why it must be protected.
This inaugural event is more than a fundraiser—it’s a celebration of community and the land that sustains us. Surrounded by autumn’s bounty—corn, soybeans, pumpkins, and winter squash—you’ll see firsthand the richness and productivity of the very soil we strive to protect.
What To Expect
🪕 Live music from local and regional Americana, bluegrass, and alt-country artists across two stages (Lineup TBA!)
🎃 Hayrack rides through scenic farmland to the Juniper Hill Farms Pumpkin patch, where you and your family can pick pumpkins to benefit the Save Our Soil Kaw Valley Foundation
🌾 Educational booths about local soils, farming, and the threats posed by industrial sprawl
🖼️ Local artists and vendors
🍺 Food trucks and beer & wine from local breweries
