KAVALL - SPATIAL GUITAR (immersive concert)

Kavall’s immersive concert format Spatial Guitar invites the listener into the center of his music. It expands the electric guitar into a spatially playable instrument that surrounds the audience.

Compositions of spatially arranged tone sequences, circulating patterns and moving textures fill the space, while moments of melodic minimalism and spatially distributed chord voices allow you to be amidst the very elements that momentarily become the music.

Set within a hexagon of speakers and audio-reactive lights, Spatial Guitar combines the immersive experience of an audiovisual installation with the dynamic performance of a live concert.

ANDY AQUARIUS - Celtic Harp

Andy Aquarius is a sonic alchemist and devotee of mystical folklore. Being a multi-instrumentalist and exploring a wide range of genres, he laid out the path ahead with his debut album 'Chapel', which only features his Celtic harp and voice. The record takes you on a 'transcendental journey through the outer realms of ambient, classical and folk music.' (-Alex Ruder, KEXP).
Followed up by multiple EPs and a full-length titled Golla Gorroppu, Andy displays his exquisite and full-spectrum worldbuilding skills. Never truly settling down, but ghostly sculpting and modulating around an ancient and immovable bedstone. Through his lyrical harp expressions and gentle vocal accents, Andy Aquarius’ latest statements traverse a magical terrain full of intrigue, nuance, and beauty.

FREE SEATING

Please notice: There is free seating. Make sure to come early if you want to find a seat next to the middle of the hexagon, for optimal listening conditions. However, there will be plenty of great sounding places to enjoy the concert. We encourage you to find your own place or even change your location during the concert for different acoustic impressions.

There will be chairs and wooden platforms and cushions. You are also welcome to bring seat cushions or blankets to find your own place in the church room or on the wooden platforms.

ACCESSIBILITY

The location is at ground level and accessible without steps. An accessible bathroom is available.

Chairs and wooden platforms are offered as seating. It is possible to bring your own seating. Trigger warning: the concert will contain passages of amplified music and audio-reactive flashing lights.

Das immersive Konzertformat „Spatial Guitar" des Komponisten und Gitarristen Kavall lädt das Publikum in das Zentrum seiner Musik ein. Kompositionen aus räumlich choreografierten Tonfolgen, zirkulierenden Patterns und sich bewegender Klangtexturen umgeben das Publikum. Spatial Guitar erweitert die elektrische Gitarre zu einem räumlich spielbaren Instrument. Das innovative Konzept separiert den Klang der einzelnen Saiten der Gitarre und ermöglicht dessen räumlich unabhängige Platzierung auf sechs im Hexagon um das Publikum angeordneten Lautsprecherstelen. Eine reaktive Verbindung von Klang und Licht vertieft die räumliche Wahrnehmung der Musik.

Das immersive Erlebnis einer audiovisuellen Installation verbindet sich mit der dynamischen Performance eines Live-Konzertes.

Es wird jedoch im Kirchenraum viele großartig klingende Orte geben, um das Konzert zu genießen. Sie können den Platz auch während des Konzerts wechseln, um unterschiedliche akustische Eindrücke zu erleben.

Es werden Stühle und Holzplatformen als Sitzgelegenheiten angeboten. Sie können gerne Sitzkissen oder Decken mitbringen und einen eigenen Platz im Kirchenraum oder auf den Holzplatformen zu finden.

Der Standort ist ebenerdig und stufenlos erreichbar. Ein barrierefreies Badezimmer ist vorhanden.
