In partnership with Green Adelaide and Kaurna Firesticks Team, the City of Adelaide invites you to come and learn from the Kaurna community about traditional land management techniques, Cultural Burning, Connections to Country and the continuing importance today of enabling Cultural practices in urban landscapes.Join us for:
- An opportunity to meet and chat with the Kaurna Firesticks team about Cultural Burning.
- A Cultural bush walk with Kaurna fire practitioners.
- A Native Sensory Cultural workshop
- Native Plant Workshops with Green Adelaide
- Activities for kids including Firesticks races, ochre painting and boomerang painting.
- An opportunity to chat with City of Adelaide’s Sustainability team about plans for Cultural Burning in the Adelaide Park Lands
