Kauri creation/Chopping board: Power Tools 101, The ReCreators Green Space, Tuesday 11Aug 10am-1pm
Design and create your own kauri platter or chopping board using reclaimed native timber. You will shape, sand, and wood burn your own design, then finish your piece so it is food safe, durable, and ready to use or gift.
We start with a quick safety briefing before using tools like the jigsaw, drill, sander, and soldering iron. Please wear covered shoes and fitted clothing. Some parts may be outdoors, so dress for the weather.
Beginner friendly and perfect for anyone keen on sustainable, functional art. Adults only. Please arrive on time and leave with a one of a kind piece made by you.
