The exhibit title is from a phrase in John Gerard’s "Dedicatorie" to his "Herball," published in 1597: "…what greater delight is there than to behold the earth apparelled with plants?"
The artwork includes watercolor paintings of meadow flowers, drawn and painted from life in season, and 24 hand-colored prints of watercolors of flowers from the artist's garden, painted from January to December of 2023. "Also included are 20 'Pockets Books,' a winter project, illuminating that 'greater delight" and also being a nod to libraries - to the Miller Library in particular - a rich resource of horticulture books about the earth 'apparelled with plants.'"
