Neurospicy Steve is a longtime fixture in the Durham music scene, known for blending humor, heart, and a touch of whimsy in his songs. With his new album A Little Different You See, he showcases a range from playful tracks about squirrels and cats to heartfelt songs, including a touching tribute to Princess Diana. Always exploring new sounds and stories, his music invites listeners to laugh, reflect, and connect with the small and meaningful moments in life.
Hailing from Raleigh, NC, Blackbird Barn is a three-piece Americana outfit led by songwriter Blair Cook. Their album Somewhere Between Hope and Doubt features songs like “Sundays” and “Sweet Depression,” highlighting Cook’s talent for pairing clever, dark humor with vivid storytelling. With rootsy instrumentation and a knack for memorable hooks, the band delivers music that is both sharp-witted and hauntingly engaging.
