Katha in Motion

Exploring Folklore through Storytelling and Movement

Katha in Motion brings folklore alive through an intimate interplay of storytelling and movement.

Drawing from folktales, oral traditions, regional legends and lesser-known narratives, the presentation explores how stories transform when they move from the spoken word to the body. Narration gives each tale its voice, while dance brings its characters, emotions and imagined worlds to life through gesture, expression and movement.

At its heart, Katha in Motion celebrates folklore as a living tradition stories that have travelled across generations, changing with every teller while carrying the memories, beliefs and imagination of communities.

Come experience an evening where stories are spoken, embodied and set in motion.
