Warning Signs is Kate's memoir series about domestic violence. It reads as a fun, fast-paced romantic adventure story, yet after each chapter she reveals the domestic violence that was actually occurring. Volume 1 shows how she fell in love with her husband and abuser, volume 2 depicts the ups and downs in their marriage, and volume 3 illustrates how she started questioning her trust in him, and found the courage to leave. Her hope is that these books can help people understand how abuse happens, so people can heal themselves, and help prevent others from experiencing this.
Kate Mageau is a Seattle-based mental health therapist, author, podcaster, and domestic violence survivor. Her mission is to help people heal from, and prevent, domestic violence through her work. She also enjoys reading, kayaking, creating clay art, going to art walks, and hanging out with her partner, friends, family, and her cat Penelope.
