About this Event

Join Kate Foster's Scandalous Women of Edinburgh: A Walking Tour.

Come on a walking tour of the Old Town and learn about the real women who became notorious as murderesses, pleasure ladies, witches and mistresses of Edinburgh's past.

I am the author of feminist novels inspired by historic scandals. In this intimate tour I will discuss my inspiration with some familiar stories and some new.

We will look at how women were portrayed in the aftermath of significant events, with readings from books and historical accounts in locations associated with them.

MEETING POINT: National Museum of Scotland, Chamber Street (just outside the newer Tower Entrance with the orange sign. Photo below) it will be busy but I'll be holding one of my books!
