Katarzyna Sokołowska - urodzona w Krakowie, fotografka mieszkająca w Göteborgu w Szwecji. Studiuje w HDK - Akademii Designu i Rzemiosła, ukończyła program mentorski „SPUTNIK” oraz Akademię Fotografii w Krakowie.

Jej esencją jest nieustanność. Katarzyna Sokołowska należy do tego rodzaju dusz, które sumiennie reagują na piękno. Aparat fotograficzny, momentalnie zamienia się w sieć, której nic nie umknie.

Albo artystka przejmuje rolę twórcy i sama staje się rzemieślnikiem piękna, sięgając odważnie po jaskrawość barw i świateł.

Następnie ubiera to w historie, raz po raz. Artystka kwestionuje absurdalne kształty natury splątane z opowieściami umysłu i jego wewnętrznych turbulencji. Delikatne szepty kobiecości można znaleźć, jeśli przyjrzymy się bliżej. Gdzie uczucia rozpaczy, błogości, ograniczeń i odwagi stapiają się razem w serii fotografii. W dziwny sposób to wszystko ma sens. Porządek w chaosie został odnaleziony.

Katarzyna Sokołowska - born in Cracow, is a Photographer based in Gothenburg, Sweden. She is currently studying at HDK - Academy of Design and Crafts, has a graduation from the mentoring programme “SPUTNIK” and from the Academy of Photography in Cracow.

Her essence is relentlessness. Katarzyna Sokołowska belongs to the kind of souls that find themselves restlessly responding to beauty. With the camera swiftly turning into an ever-catching net, she is able to grasp it all.

Takes the role of the creator and is the artificer of beauty herself, reverting boldly to the flamboyance of hues and lights.

Then she dresses it with stories, on and on again. The artist questions the outrageous shapes of nature intertwined with the tales of the mind and the turbulence within. Delicate whispers of femininity can be found if we take a closer look. Feelings of despair, bliss, limitation and courage all melt together in the series of photographs. Somehow it all makes sense. The order in chaos is found.
