About this Event

Kasan Belgrave was mentored by an extensive list of musical teachers, including his father, Marcus Belgrave, saxophonists Wendell Harrison and Andrew Bishop, bassists Rodney Whitaker and Robert Hurst, and pianist Benny Green. Kasan has performed with world-class musicians like Karriem Riggins, Nicholas Payton, Wynton Marsalis & the Jazz @ Lincoln Center Orchestra, and the Detroit Symphony Orcehstra; outside of the jazz realm, he’s collaborated with Shakira, producer Madlib, and techno DJs Moodman and Carl Craig. Belgrave’s enigmatic yet warm sound originates from foundations of blues, jazz, and fusion.
