🌟 Karns Lions Club 2026 Season Hiring Event 🌟Are you ready to make a splash this summer? Join us at our hiring event for LIFEGUARDS and CONCESSIONS employees as well as POOL CLEANERS! Whether you're looking for full-time or part-time work, we have opportunities for you.
The season will run from May 23 through early August (final day TBD). We close during the day when Knox County schools resume in the fall, but open one or two additional weekends in August.
EVENT DETAILS
- Date: April 25, 2026
- Location: Karns Lions Pool, 6618 Beaver Ridge Rd
- Time: 3-5pm
WHAT TO BRING
- Information about your regular availability (days and hours)
- Any scheduling conflicts (e.g., vacation, ball games, doctor appointments)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
🏊♂️LIFEGUARDS
- You may also apply online
- Minimum Age: 15 years
- Certification: Current unexpired lifeguard certification required
- If not certified, you can apply if you're enrolled in a
certification class (don't have to wait to apply)
- Starting Pay: $14/hour
🍔 CONCESSIONS
- Minimum Age: 14 years
- Skills Needed:
- Ability to prepare and handle food safely
- Accurate order preparation
- Efficiently manage the register
- Effectively communicate with customers and other employees
- Starting Pay: $8/hour
💦 POOL CLEANER
- Minimum Age: 14 years
- Skills Needed:
- Ability to swim
- Physically active job requiring reaching, bending, lifting, standing, walking for 2 hours.
- Vacuum pool each day before opening
- Starting Pay: $10/hour

The Karns Lions Pool is open M-Sat 10am-6pm & Sunday 1-6pm. Lifeguards will also be scheduled to work after-hours parties daily from 6:30-8:30pm. Team members scheduled to close or work parties will be expected to stay 15-30 extra minutes to clean and complete closing duties.
