Karl Werne’s Live Open Mic at Beach Barracuda’s is back!
This award-winning Open Mic night is happening on select Wednesdays from 7 to 10pm at Beach Barracuda's on General Booth Blvd.
Call Beach Barracuda's (757) 965-5447 on Open Mic Wednesdays during business hours to reserve your own 15 minute set.
(usually 3 songs)
Karl will kick off the night and reserve the last set for himself to welcome any musicians who wish to accompany, (on hand drum, bass, harmony, improvisational soloists, etc).
Karl Werne has hosted open mics on and off for over 30 years. His willingness to add guitar, hand drum or harmonies to various entertainers, his sense of 'quality control' for the audience, and his knack for creating a collaborative air between new or unfamiliar musicians has made him a favorite open mic host.
