About this Event
Join us on April 2, 2025, for the 2025 Housing Summit, hosted by Kansas City’s Housing and Community Development (HCDD) and the Civil Rights and Equal Opportnities (CREO) Departments. This year’s theme, Planting Roots for Successful Communities, will provide important discussions on housing issues for the public.
The Housing Summit emphasizes the importance of creating strong, sustainable foundations for community development through stewardship, social engagement, and economic empowerment. HCDD hopes to build lasting connections through community cohesion by bringing together diverse groups to collaborate and encourage economic resilience.
Nearly 100 HCDD staff, community stakeholders, and residents will come together to address key housing needs and share valuable resources. Highlights of this year’s summit include sessions on:
- Supporting individuals with limitations
- Exploring the "Lost Generation of Homeownership"
- Credit resources and tackling predatory debt
- Discussions on the future of communities
- Art displays from the local Community Resilience program
This one-day event will take place at the Kauffman Conference Center, 4801 Rockhill Road, Kansas City, MO. The conference will run from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (CST).
