Competition rules
REQUIREMENTS
1. All students must present a certification duly signed by their educational director indicating that they are active in the school and informing the hours and the course they are taking. Professionals will present a Cosmetology or barber license; If they do not have it, they will present a diploma or certification of the course in Cosmetology, barbershop, makeup, aesthetics or nail technique.
2. The competitor must submit a duly signed registration form for each competition, the exemption form of the model and a letter of authorization from his parent or guardian, if he is under 18 years of age, plus the certification duly signed by his educational director that indicate that they are active in school.
(a) Any competitor who knowingly provides false information on the entry sheet and it is verified, it will be canceled.
(b) If any prize is won, it will be annulled and revoked.
(c) If you receive a cash prize, it will be returned to Indutry Beauty Show Education Inc.
3. The model must be accompanied by the competitor and must bring a photo ID.
(a) The competitor is responsible for the needs and expenses of his model.
(b) Industry Beauty Show Education are not responsible for the needs and expenses of your model.
(c) The area for changing models is one of convenience to the competitor.
Valuables should not be left in this area. Industry Beauty Show Education Inc., is not responsible for personal items or equipment that is lost in any area of the show.
4. Competitors will provide the materials to be used, including their mirror, lamp and a multiple current extension no less than 10 'long. All instruments and work products will be provided by the competitor. One 15 amp electrical receptacle per competitor will be provided, equivalent to 1,500 watts. Do not use equipment that consumes more than that amount.
5. Competitors must abide by all instructions of the competition committee (wise judges) while the competition is taking place.
6. The competitor and his model must report one hour before the start of the competitions. Only one model or one mannequin per competitor will be accepted in each category. More than one model will be accepted if the category requires it. The model cannot be a competitor, nor can the competitor be a model.
7. No teacher or coach may serve as a role model for any competitor, or give instructions to the competitors. The competitor will be penalized with three (3) points per jury if he violates this law.
8. The competition will be judged using the international 30 point system.

(b) Industry Beauty Show Education Inc. is not responsible for graduate competitors that schools certify as students.
(c) Industry Beauty Show Education Inc. may disqualify and retain the prize obtained by the competitor even after the competition if the complaint is proven to be valid or true.
(d) All claims must be in writing within thirty (30) days.
(e) Any competitor who has competed as a professional in any local or international competition may not compete as a student in the competition.
Example: If a competitor participates in a professional competition in Cosmetology even if they do not win any awards, they cannot compete in any student competition in the Cosmetology category. (You can compete in barbershop and nail art if you prove with a certificate of studies that you are an active barber or nail student.) Example: If a competitor participates in a professional barbershop competition even if they do not win any prizes, they cannot compete in any student competition in the barbershop category. (You can compete in cosmetology and nails if you demonstrate with a certification of studies that you are an active student in cosmetology or nails.)
11. If the competitor wishes to see his score, he must request it in writing two weeks after the competitions.
12. Complaints should only be in writing.
13. In the event that a model or competitor becomes ill at the time the competition has started, one of the two will contact a member of the competition committee who is present in the competition area. The competition will not stop for this reason.
II. DURATION OF ANNOUNCEMENTS AND TERMINATION OF THE DIFFERENT COMPETITIONS
1. The competition director will designate the watch keeper, watches to be used during the competitions.
2. For competitions of less than one hour in duration, announcements of the time remaining to finish the competition will be made at intervals of no more than (10) minutes. It will be announced when 5, 4, 3, 2, or 1 minutes remain and the "time is up." Once the time is up, the competitor will remove his hands from the model, (refer to the penalty rules).
3. For competitions lasting more than one hour, the first announcements will be at half-hour intervals.
4. The last fraction of an hour will be treated as explained above for competitions of less than one hour.
5. The duration of each competition will be indicated in the specific rules of each competition. Any competitor who is late will start with the elapsed time; no additional time will be given.
(a) If the competitor is late to the competition for any cause or reason and does not wish to compete with the elapsed time, there will be no refund of money; but if you decide to compete you will start with the elapsed time and no additional time will be given.
(b) If the competitor finishes before the allotted time, he may remain in the work area until the competition time is up. If you decide to leave the competition area, you must collect your work equipment and you will not be allowed to return to the work area under any circumstances.
COMPETENCE AREA:
The area of competencies is a completely restricted one. Under no circumstances will people outside the competition process be allowed to enter this area. Every professional or competing student will enter at the time of being called for their competition. Teachers, coaches, directors and family members will not be able to enter this area at any time. If any competitor has any medical need or special attention, the Industry Beauty Show Education Inc. committee will be in charge of notifying the paramedics to attend the emergency. In the event that a competitor or model suffers from a health condition such as dizziness or low blood sugar, they will inform the committee to take action at the time. If you have any doubts, you can approach the organizing committee of competitions and ask your question with respect and sanity. Remember that the Jury is the one who evaluates the work of the competitors, the committee is not responsible for the scores given by the Jury, we only process them to give the awards and the decision of the judges is irrevocable.
UNIFORMS: As a new regulation, the use of uniforms is allowed.
REMOVED the black capes: the competitor will remove the cape after the competition is over. The jury will evaluate according to each category. The competition in which only work is performed, the clothing will not be evaluated.
THE JUDGE
The Jury selected by Industry Beauty Show Education Inc. are professionals from the beauty industry highly capable of evaluating different categories of competencies.
The System used in our competitions is the International System of 30 Points.
In the event that a Jury is not familiar with this system, the Competition Jury Director will be in charge of guiding the jury.
Neither Industry Beauty Show Education Inc. nor the competition committee are responsible for the decisions made by the jury. The jury's decision is irrevocable and no person has the right to change the scores presented by the Jury. In the event of a tie, the President of the Jury is the one who has the responsibility of breaking the tie, either by his own decision according to his knowledge or will decide whether to go again to the juries that created the tie to re-evaluate the works and take the decision. final decision. No person who is a teacher or coach of a competitor one month ago may be a member of the jury. Any teacher or student coach (not professional coach) may be a judge in the Professional Categories only. (a) The model will report with completely natural hair, no extensions.
(b) The length of the model's hair before the competition: a minimum of 1⁄2” inch around the ears and at the nape of the neck. And the Beard cannot be outlined (student does not apply) (c) NO pre-cut or refining is allowed, including fringes or hair parting. The evaluation committee will verify the models before the competition to verify that they are not previously cut or refined. Failure to comply with this will be penalized with 5 points per jury.
(d) It is necessary for the competitor to leave their hair cut on the ground and around their model, as the jury will verify this when evaluating it.
