The Kankakee Valley Park District is partnering with GWN in Canada to put on the Dragon Boat Festival at the River Road Boat Launch in Kankakee!
Dragon boating is the fastest growing water sport in the world. A dragon boat team consists of 20 paddlers sitting side by side and a drummer who sits at the front of the boat to help the paddlers with their paddling motion. The team works together to propel the boat forward towards the finish line. It is a great opportunity for organizations to work together and build teamwork. Teams that participate in this race are guaranteed at least 3 races and 1 practice session.
