Miami, Fla. ̶ January 26, 2023- There's no better way to celebrate Haitian carnival than with a
street cultural festival in the heart of the Haitian diaspora community, Little Haiti. Sounds of
Little Haiti (SOLH) and VGM Marketing Group will assemble the masters of Haitian carnival
music for another edition of Sounds of Little Haiti on February 17, 2023, 6-11pm. SOLH is a
community extravaganza in Little Haiti, Miami, Florida. SOLH is a mecca for
Haitian-Americans to celebrate their culture and influence in the Miami melting pot. It is a
vehicle for families, community leaders, program providers and social activists to come together
for an exchange of culture and information.
This month’s edition encompasses performances by A-list bands and DJ’s. Caribbean artists,
Team Lobey, Ti-Jo Zenny, Maestro T Ansyto, Paul Beaubrun and Rara Lakay are set to take
center stage on February 17, at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex (212 NE 59th Terrace, Miami,
FL 33137). The carnival will display a variety of Haitian carnival cultural experiences that
includes; a musical showcase, arts and crafts, children’s corner and an art exhibition. This is truly
a family inspired-event. The Sounds of Little Haiti Kanaval Block Party serves as the perfect
way to celebrate french caribbean carnival in Miami.
The event will be hosted by Mecca aka Grimo & Kako with music throughout the evening
powered by DJ Jack, Kolo and DJ Mac. With the increased influx of Haitian nationals to Miami,
SOLH aims to bring the joy and vibrations of carnival to the streets of Little Haiti.
