Organised as part of In the Ether — A Festival of Quantum Science and Technology, ArtScience Museum is proud to present two performances with Circus of Knowledge, the world premiere of Q for Quantum and Asia premiere of Kamishibai — Ada Lovelace.
Circus of Knowledge recounts extraordinary chapters in the lives of important scientists and scholars through the poetic Kamishibai performance focused on mathematician and inventor Ada Byron Lovelace. She developed the world's first computer program almost 200 years ago and was the first person to realise what a computer would one day be able to do. She was passionate about mathematics and mechanical machines from a young age and even designed her own flying machine!
This beautiful story is narrated by Ali Mayer-Pernkopf, an Austrian puppeteer and storyteller.
Helming from Johannes Kepler University (JKU), Austria, Circus of Knowledge has been delighting kids and adults with their traditional puppeteering repertoires that seeks to intersect both arts and science education. Circus of Knowledge aims to connect research and art, fostering curiosity and understanding in both fields. The JKU also partners with theatres, circus operators, and other performers to bring lively community performances.

Situated across the museum, scientific concepts come alive through poetic and tangible experiences inspired by physics, quantum research and technology. Interact with experiments and activities that explain core principles and reveal the inner working of devices such as quantum computers and quantum communication satellites.
