Kam Franklin Presents: "Byrd And Shepard" Short Film Premiere

Come join us for the premiere of Kam Franklin's latest short film, "Byrd And Shepard". One year ago, Franklin released a song entitled, "Byrd and Shepard". This song told the horrible stories surrounding the deaths of James Byrd Jr. and Matthew Shepard. Both men were brutally murdered in separate hate crime events in 1998. This short film continues Franklin's ongoing work to tell this story as new details emerge with each passing decade. Be among the first to experience another chapter in this captivating, yet heartbreaking story. The premiere will take place in the heart of Houston's museum district at the vibrant art gallery, ART IS BOND.

This event is free and open to the public, and is partially funded by the Houston Arts Alliance. A public online screening will be available on youtube December 30, 2025 for those unable to attend on Kam Franklin's youtube channel.
