About this Event

A fundraiser in support of the Grosse Pointe Historical Society

Turning a kaleidoscope reveals an endless variety of patterns. It's an apt metaphor for the Grosse Pointes! The Kaleidoscope on Cloverly blends architecture, history, creativity, diversity, life events, and more, and presents ever-fresh perspectives. This year's fundraiser gala benefiting the Grosse Pointe Historical Society takes everything we love about life in the Pointes and turns it into a memorable evening with food, refreshments, music, and friends set against the backdrop of a 1924 Tudor Revival home on unique Cloverly Road in Grosse Pointe Farms. With a fascinating backstory, the home designed by Robert O. Derrick is fresh with eye-pleasing decor for today's living style and a truly breathtaking yard.

On Friday, June 19, 2026, the Grosse Pointe Historical Society will hold its 22nd annual Summer Fundraiser Gala. This year’s event, Kaleidoscope on Cloverly, will be held at an impeccably-restored manor house on Cloverly Road. The star feature is the extensive yard and garden with a classical pool and paths meandering to a patio complete with a rustic pizza oven. The event includes valet parking, open bars, music, a strolling supper, and a preview of a new exhibit about Robert O. Derrick, renowned architect of the party house, many homes in the Pointes, and notable buildings in Detroit and surrounds. Cloverly Road is unique in the Pointes and a kaleidoscopic of historic home styles, features, architects and history.
