Kalbar Sunflower Farm Visit

ANOTHER SUNNY DAY TODAY AND THE FLOWERS ARE BLOOMING!

Tickets are available now for 30th-31st October, 6th & 7th and 13th & 14th November, the flowers are going to be lovely and fresh and you will see them at their very best! Let's hope the weather holds. Please book so we know how many people are coming and can cater for you all. Please remember to bring a bucket to take your flowers home, PYO $2 a stem and we will have designated picking areas, you will not be allowed to pick from along the walking tracks.

Please also remember we are farmers and this is our home and livelihood, please use the rubbish bins provided or take your waste home with you, if everyone can be considerate of our family and staff and do as directed we would appreciate this. We are trying to make this a wonderful experience for everyone.

We are opening the farm for sunflower visits from 30th October when our six acre patch of flowers (80,000 flowers) start to bloom. There will be coffee and food vans available as well as portaloos and a dog watering station, please note you are welcome to bring your dog if he/she is friendly and kept on a leash, please be mindful of other visitors and dogs.

You will find lots of photo opportunities to enjoy and then check out our Sunflower Shop for all things sunflowers from seeds to hats to our new Fresh as a Sunflower candles. It will be pick your own sunflowers, cutters and buckets available for hire for $5 (these will be in high demand so if you can bring your own please do) and sunflowers will be $2 per stem. You will need to bring an esky or bucket to take your flowers home, please remember this.

Please be aware this is a working farm and closed in footwear is advisable, there will be bees out and about in the flowers as well. Bring a hat and absolutely NO SMOKING allowed on the farm. Covid Check-in at the registration desk and parking available as directed on the day. If the weather turns bad we will be in touch.

Make a day or weekend to visit Kalbar in the Scenic Rim and all the other attractions our little town has to offer. We look forward to welcoming you soon!

We are offering morning sessions (8.30AM-12.30PM) and afternoon sessions (12.30PM-4.30PM). More dates may become available either before or after these dates depending on the flowering of the sunflowers. Please note ticket prices will add gst and booking fee on checkout. Children under 16 are free.

Pre-order a Picnic Box or take part in 6am Yoga sessions, Children's Workshops, Family Mini Photo Sessions and Classic Car Rides.

Yoga in the Sunflowers was such a hit back in March, Lou from Kalbar Yoga is very excited to be holding classes in our special secret garden area once again. We have scheduled Sunday 31st October for Yoga at 6am to beat the heat. Your ticket includes a whole morning farm visit as well as the 1 hour yoga class and a small breakfast of yoghurt and fruit salad. Coffee van will be on site also.

Classic Car Ride - Book a 20 min drive to Moogerah Dam and back in this beautiful Classic Holden Car, then on return to the Sunflower Farm enjoy a cheese platter amongst the sunflowers provided by Olive View Estate. Bookings for min 2 max 4 people per time slot.

Please note you must also purchase a Farm Visit ticket to be able to book a Classic Car Ride.

Children's Workshop - Bring your little Urban Farmers along to roll bee friendly sunflower seed balls. Rachel from Jasmine Urban Farm is holding children's workshops on various dates see tickets for more details.

Picnic Boxes are also available for pre-order. Vegan and Vegetarian and gluten free versions no problem. Boxes include frittata, dip local cured meats, pickles, dolmades, bread and cheese, salad and a chocolate bliss ball. $28 for a share box for two people.

Family Photo Shoots - Sarah from Three Finns Photography will be on hand during the sunflower farm open days for mini family photo shoots. Book online the day and time that suits. Family mini shoot - 5 digital images.
