Originating from the vibrant music scenes of Upstate New York, Asheville, North Carolina, Miami, and Rio de Janeiro, Kajuneji is a boundary-pushing collective that seamlessly blends diverse genres and influences. Drawing inspiration from acts like Banda Black Rio, The Headhunters, and Mahavishnu Orchestra, Kajuneji naturally weaves the atmospheric grooves and expansive soundscapes of these influences with their own fusion of R&B, funk, soul, jazz, jam, rock, and world music. The result is a soundscape that marries intricate compositions with the free spirit of improvisation, delivering a rich auditory experience that captivates audiences.
Building on their diverse experiences in projects like El Ka Bong, The Beekeepers, Rebel Love, Zydecorp, ProjectX, Shrimps, Juicy Cake, and Soul Section, Kajuneji’s members bring a depth of knowledge and creativity that shapes their unique musical approach.
