About this Event
Kafou: Where Paths Converge, Stories Emerge.
At the intersection of creativity, heritage, and personal journey, Kafou invites you to experience the vibrant narrative landscape of Haitian visual artists from our local community. This month-long exhibition transforms Yoga Tribe Brooklyn into a dynamic gallery space that celebrates not just art, but the profound human stories behind each brushstroke, sculpture, and visual expression.
Kafou—meaning "crossroads" in Haitian Kreyol—represents more than a geographical metaphor. It is a powerful symbol of transformation, choice, and the intricate paths that lead artists to their creative voice. Here, we break traditional gallery conventions by offering local Haitian artists a commission-free space where their work can be fully appreciated and acquired directly, ensuring that the economic value of their creativity returns entirely to the artists themselves.
Featuring works by:
Pierre Jean - Baptiste | Franck H. Godefroy | Rudolph Jean -Louis | Saul Senecal
